Kantara Collection
Kantara Collection :- Kantara has become one of the most acclaimed films in Indian cinema, as well as a pan-India superhit from the Kannada film industry, following the success of “KGF Chapter-2.”
The historical impact of the Kannada action thriller Kantara is immense.
The film is unstoppable at the box office and is very likely to soon join the Rs 100 crore club in Hindi.
The Kannada hit movie has made more money at the box office than Rs 75 crore.
Taran Adarsh, a critic for movies and a business expert, observed that Kantara (in Hindi) “continues to gallop steadily passes the 75 cr threshold.
“Continues to startle those who doubted its potential and astonish [the industry]… [Week 5] Sat 2.30 cr, Fri 1.25 cr, and Sun 2.70 cr.
Total: 76 crores.
The Rs 100 crore threshold is getting closer for the Hindi version of Kantara.
After “KGF Chapter-2,” Kantara has emerged as one of the most well-liked films in Indian cinema and a superhit across the country.
The movie was initially only available in Kannada on September 30, but it was eventually dubbed into many other languages, with Hindi becoming available on October 14.
The representation of Dalits in the immensely popular national Kannada film “Kantara” has been criticised by Dalit organisations.
The film, according to Samatha Sainik Dal State Secretary Lolaksha, insults Dalits.
He claimed that the “Daivaradhane” scenes in the film are twisted and that “the Dalit community has been shown in poor light.”
He also objected to the film’s highlight, the final 20-minute conclusion.
Lolaksha added that they will first raise their concerns to the attention of the film team.
If their concerns are not taken seriously, they will file a lawsuit against the film crew.
However, the film was dogged by controversy, with a band claiming one of the songs featured in the film as their own, and Kannada actor Chetan Ahimsa claiming that “Daivaradhane” is not a part of Hindu faith as depicted in the film.
The huge success of the movie at the ticket window led to a lot of chatter on social media about the release of the movie on OTT platforms.
There was also a rumour on various social media platforms that the period action thriller film ‘Kantara’ will release on 18th November on OTT platform.
This led to a lot of buzz online which was recently debunked by the producer of the film on Twitter.
Karthik Gowda, the producer of the film, tweeted through his official Twitter handle that the film is not releasing on OTT any time soon.
He said, “Wrong News! We will let you know when it is coming but certainly not November 4th.”
Kantara, which is set in the fictional village of Dakshina Kannada, centres on a Kambala champion played by Shetty who clashes with Murali, a moral Forest Range officer. In the yearly race known as Kambala, which takes place in coastal Karnataka from November to March, a jockey pulls a pair of buffaloes that are tied to a plough through two parallel muddy tracks.
