Kerala 7 Nov 2022 :- After a video went viral showing him kicking a six-year-old immigrant boy who was leaning on his car, a young man from Kerala’s Kannur district was detained on Friday. On Thursday, the incident was witnessed by CCTV cameras in Thalassery, Kannur.
The boy was recognised by the police as Shihshad, a Ponniam, near Thalassery, resident, and they said that he was an immigrant from Rajasthan.
Shihshad is the subject of a police investigation into an alleged murder attempt.
The boy is seen leaning on the back of a parked car and being kicked in the CCTV clip as a youngster approaches.
Shihshad kicks the boy, and as the neighbourhood stares in disbelief, he drives off.
According to reports, the police were made aware of the incident on Thursday night, but they didn’t file a report until Friday when images from the incident went viral.
Later, the youngster was checked into a neighbourhood hospital.
The occurrence, according to Kerala’s Minister for Health and Family Welfare Veena George, was startling and appalling.
“An investigation and report were requested from the director of the social welfare department.
The incident left the kid with severe injuries. To make a life, his family moved from Rajasthan.
Without any justification, he was attacked, she claimed.
Kerala should be ashamed of the occurrence, said BJP state president K Surendran, who also charged the police with attempting to protect the culprits.
“Police failed to assist the Rajasthani child and instead stood by the neighbourhood criminal.
Kerala has turned into a land of the devil under the rule of (CM) Pinarayi Vijayan, he claimed.
