Solar Eclipse 25 Oct
Solar Eclipse 25 Oct :- A solar eclipse, also known as Surya Grahan, occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth at precisely the appropriate time. A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, blocking the Sun’s light and casting a shadow on the Earth. A solar eclipse occurs on a new moon day.
A partial solar eclipse occurs when the lunar disc partially obscures the solar disc.
When the Moon lies between the Sun and Earth, a partial solar eclipse occurs, but the Moon only partially blocks the Sun’s disc. The Moon only casts the outermost portion of its shadow, known as the penumbra, on Earth during a partial solar eclipse because the Sun, Moon, and Earth are not precisely lined up in a straight line.
Today, October 25, there will be a partial eclipse that may be observed from most locations. It will start in India before dusk in the afternoon. According to the Ministry of Earth Sciences, it won’t be seen from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands or several regions of north-east India (Aizawl, Dibrugarh, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Sibsagar, Silchar, Tamelong, etc.)
India won’t be able to see the eclipse’s finale because it will still be happening after sunset. The Moon will cover the Sun, obstructing it. In the north-western regions of the country, the percentage ranged between 40 and 50 percent during the eclipse’s peak.
The percentage coverage will be lower than the aforementioned figures in other regions of the nation, according to the ministry.
Most of the country will be able to see the partial solar eclipse today, with the exception of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and several regions of North-East India, including Aizawl, Dibrugarh, Imphal, Itanagar, Kohima, Sibsagar, Silchar, Tamelong, etc.
The percentage of the Sun that will be covered by the Moon in Delhi and Mumbai at the time of the greatest eclipse will be roughly 44% and 24%, respectively, according to the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
From the start of the eclipse till sunset, Delhi and Mumbai will experience it for 1 hour and 13 minutes and 1 hour 19 minutes, respectively. The eclipse will last for 31 minutes and 12 minutes, respectively, in Chennai and Kolkata from the start of the event to sunset time. The eclipse will be visible in Bengaluru for 45 minutes.
